Transparency International’s team upholds Transparency International’s high ethical standards and strives to ensure that conflicts of interest do not arise within the organization. Aware of our responsibility to those who financially support Transparency and to the public for whom our organisation works honestly, openly and consistently, we have developed and adopted a code of ethics and conflict of interest regulation. We have an Ethics and Conflict of Interest Commission to regulate these matters. Its members are selected annually by Transparency employees. The address of the Commission is email@example.com.
From 1 May 2022 to 30 April 2023, its members are:
- Rima Abu Zaalan;
- Grigoriy Mashanov;
- Boris Grozovskiy.
Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics sets out the main ethical principles and basic mechanisms for resolving ethical issues at Transparency. It applies to employees, individuals working with our organisation under civil law contracts whose subject matter is anti-corruption-related matters, our contractors who have expressed their willingness to comply with the code of ethics, volunteers and individuals who are members of the highest governing body of the organisation (hereinafter “associated persons”).
Conflict of interest
All Transparency employees are required to report conflicts of interest to the Ethics and Conflict of Interest Committee. A special web-based form is filled out for this purpose.
The Conflict of Interest Regulation must be complied with by all related parties. It sets out the concept of a conflict of interest, the principles for preventing and resolving it, and the organisation of the work of the conflict of interest committee.
If you would like to notify us of a possible conflict of interest or report a breach of the code of ethics, please complete the form or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gifts, donations and procurement
Transparency employees and associated persons may not accept gifts in any form from organisations, institutions or individuals if this could affect Transparency’s business in any way. The concept of a gift includes payments for recreation and entertainment, loans and credits in any amount. If you would like to give notice of a gift, please complete the form or email us at email@example.com.
Transparency’s procurement and payment of goods, employment of staff, calculation and payment of wages, and accounting are governed by the Administrative Procedures Regulations. A special regulation is used to assess the bona fides of counterparties. Donations are handled in accordance with the Donations Regulations.
